International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)

“Empowering Women Entrepreneurs”

 

 

 

19th September 2018, United States of America (USA)—12 Cambodian delegations from inter-associations including CWEA - Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association that presented president LCT. Eng Lykuong (CWEA) participates International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) empowering women entrepreneurs which sponsored by The U.S. Department of State (DOS) from September 17 to 25, 2018.

The Office of International Visitors seeks providing a board and balanced range of perspectives in the IVLP, including a variety of appointments with individuals and representatives of organizations whose opinions do not necessary reflect the views of the U.S. Government.

The Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives namely as below:

·         Illustrate how advocacy strategies serve to support entrepreneurship and create dialogue with the government at the federal, state, and local levels;

·         Demonstrate best practices in promoting women’s entrepreneurship, including access to training, financing, networks, and mentorship;

·         Observe women-owned business sectors, associations, and organizations that support current and future women business leaders; and

·         Identify method s in the public and private sector to enable supportive entrepreneurship policy and facilitate market access.

 

While, there are having a message from CWEA president LCT. Eng Lykuong delight expressed to IVLP “strengthened the long-standing relationship between Cambodia and US. While, there is an overwhelming international recognition of our work by let us exchanges of ideas and the sharing of cultures between our country and America. And that’s such a good opportunity to learn innovative practices to address the impacts not only to Cambodia but also to the world development communities.”
